Research Use Only
All products sold by Obsidian Sciences are supplied strictly for legitimate in-vitro research purposes only. By placing an order, you confirm and agree that:
You are purchasing products solely for in-vitro laboratory research.
Products will not be used for human consumption, veterinary use, therapeutic application, diagnostic purposes, or any clinical application.
Products will not be resold as consumer goods, dietary supplements, food products, or for any purpose other than legitimate scientific research.
You accept full responsibility for the lawful handling, storage, and use of all products purchased.
Obsidian Sciences reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order where we reasonably believe products are being purchased for purposes other than legitimate in-vitro research.
Age Restriction
All purchasers must be 18 years of age or older. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We reserve the right to request proof of age at any time and to cancel orders where age verification cannot be confirmed.
Products and Descriptions
We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, and images on our website are accurate. All compounds are supplied with a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) confirming identity, purity, and composition.
Product images are representative and may differ slightly from the item received due to batch variations in labelling or packaging. The active compound and its specifications remain consistent as documented in the CoA.
We reserve the right to modify product formulations, packaging, or specifications at any time without prior notice, provided that the core compound and its purity specification remain materially unchanged.
Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. As a sole trader operating below the VAT registration threshold, VAT is not currently charged.
We accept the following payment methods:
Pay by Bank: Instant open banking payments processed through our secure payment provider.
Cryptocurrency: USDT and USDC stablecoin payments. A 5% discount is automatically applied at checkout when paying with cryptocurrency.
We do not currently accept credit or debit card payments.
Payment must be received in full before orders are dispatched. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
Orders and Acceptance
Placing an order through our website constitutes an offer to purchase. An order is not accepted until we send you a dispatch confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion.
You will receive an order confirmation email upon placing your order. This confirms receipt of your order, not acceptance. Acceptance and formation of the contract occurs only upon dispatch of the goods.
Shipping and Delivery
All orders are dispatched from the United Kingdom via Royal Mail with tracking.
Royal Mail Tracked 48: Standard delivery — 2–3 working days with full tracking.
Royal Mail Tracked 24: Next-day delivery — 1 working day with full tracking.
Free shipping: Free delivery on all orders over £50.
UK only: International shipping is not available at this time.
Orders are typically dispatched within 1–2 working days. Tracking information is provided by email once your order has been dispatched.
All orders are packaged discreetly with no external branding or product identification visible on the outer packaging.
Risk of loss and damage passes to you upon delivery to the address specified in your order. If your order is lost or damaged in transit, contact us within 48 hours of the expected delivery date.
Returns and Refunds
Due to the nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns on opened, reconstituted, or used items. This is necessary to maintain the integrity and safety of research-grade compounds.
Damaged or incorrect items: If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours at [email protected] with photographs and your order number. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at our discretion.
Unopened items: Unopened and sealed items may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, provided they are in their original condition and packaging. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Contact us before returning any items.
Refunds will be processed via the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned item or approving a claim for damaged/incorrect goods.
Certificates of Analysis
All peptide compounds are supplied with an independent third-party Certificate of Analysis (CoA) confirming identity, purity, and composition. CoAs are available from each product page on our website.
CoAs are provided for informational purposes to support your research. They confirm analytical results at the time of testing and do not constitute a warranty of fitness for any particular application.
Storage and Handling
Product storage requirements are specified on each product page. In general:
Lyophilised peptides: Store at -20°C for long-term storage. Short-term storage at 2–8°C is acceptable.
Reconstituted peptides: Store at 2–8°C and use within a reasonable timeframe. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Bacteriostatic water: Store at room temperature (15–25°C). Protect from light. Discard any unused portion 28 days after first puncture.
Obsidian Sciences is not liable for product degradation resulting from improper storage or handling after delivery.
Intellectual Property
All content on the Obsidian Sciences website — including text, images, logos, product photographs, and page designs — is the property of Obsidian Sciences and is protected by UK copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our prior written consent.
Limitation of Liability
All products are supplied strictly for in-vitro research use. Obsidian Sciences accepts no liability for any loss, damage, injury, or adverse outcome resulting from the misuse of products, including but not limited to human consumption, veterinary use, or any application other than legitimate in-vitro research.
Our total liability to you in respect of any order shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that order.
